Center your AutoShape
placements in PowerPoint
In PowerPoint, it can be difficult to center an AutoShape over an area while drawing it. When you drag your mouse to create the shape, the shape expands from its corner point, so you need to have a good idea of its size before you actually create it. This is especially true if you want to center a circle over a point.
A great way to get perfectly centered AutoShapes over a location is to hold down the Ctrl key while you draw it. Place the AutoShape crosshairs in the middle of the area you want to encompass. With the Ctrl key held down, you can create a shape centered exactly where you specify.
